To enroll in a program at Apex, you must be at least 17 years of age and have parental consent if you are under 18. You may be enrolled if you are 16 1/2 years old and have a release letter from your New York State high school.
If you do not have a high school diploma or equivalency certificate (GED), you must achieve a satisfactory score on a standardized examination.
You will be invited to Apex Technical School to determine whether a trade school education is right for you. During your visit, you will meet with an Admissions Rep who will discuss your career goals, review program options, and answer any questions you may have about attending Apex. A tour of the school, including classrooms, shops, and Learning Resource Center will also be provided.
Standard trade school cost of attendance and budgets are published annually and can be obtained by contacting the Financial Aid Office or clicking the link below to connect with our team.

Financial aid options that work for you

Investing in your education shouldn't be a financial burden. That's why there are multiple ways to finance your education. From federal financial aid to private grants and scholarships, there are plenty of ways to help you get started.
NET PRICE CALCULATOR

Get a cost of attendance estimate

Apex Technical School provides a federal Net Price Calculator to give prospective students a preliminary estimate of total cost of attendance. Your actual cost and financial aid will vary.
Please read: This calculator is intended to provide estimated net price information (defined as estimated cost of attendance — including tuition and required fees, books and supplies, room and board (meals), and other related expenses — minus estimated grant and scholarship aid) to current and prospective students and their families based on what similar students paid in a previous year. Please call or visit the Financial Aid Office for more information and estimates specific to your family’s situation in the current financial aid year.
HOW TO USE THE NET PRICE CALCULATOR
This net price calculator has six steps. Each step will prompt you to provide information by answering multiple choice questions or fill-in-the-blank boxes. When you complete all steps, you’ll receive an estimated total cost of attendance based on your answers.

If you need assistance, please call the Financial Aid Office and we’d be happy to discuss financial aid eligibility and requirements with you.
TUITON

Paying for an Apex education

Tuition varies based on course type, length, and materials charges. Application fees for each course are $100, due prior to enrolling in the program. See below for the estimated total cost for each course, including materials, application fee, insurance, and tuition.

Apex financial aid net price calculator

Federal financial aid eligibility is determined based upon several different factors, including the cost of attendance for your program of study.

To determine how much federal aid you may be eligible for, your first step is calculating your estimated cost of attendance.

Find your cost of attendance

The federal cost of attendance is used primarily as a tool for computing eligibility for federal student aid. Actual costs may vary depending on multiple factors (particularly the indirect costs). Some factors include:
  • Direct costs: Apex Technical School’s “direct costs” include tuition, books, and supplies. These are billed to the student by the school and are offset by any payments, financial aid, or education loans.
  • Indirect costs: Most of the indirect costs are living expenses. Apex will NOT bill students for these costs; they are simply estimates to help students plan for living costs and other and out-of-pocket costs while attending school.
